WELLPARK CHURCH OF SCOTLAND
165, Duke Street, Dennistoun

Wellpark was another of those Free congregations which were able to retain the use of their old church until 1849.  The site of the Wellpark chapel of ease had been provided to the Established Church by Hugh Tennent of Wellpark, and his generosity was extended to the seceding congregation by his provision of a new site for their church at the corner of Ark Lane and Duke Street

It acquiesced in the unions of the major churches at 1900 and 1929 and continued as Wellpark Church of Scotland until joining Sydney Place & East Campbell Street Church on the other side of Duke Street in 1949.  The new charge took the opportunity to shorten its rather lengthy name to Trinity Duke Street Church of Scotland.  The Wellpark building has since been demolished.
