Calton December, 2005 - Kelly & Bryan Calton - k.bauder@nvenrode.nl
Hello, We just returned to our home in Denver, Colorado after spending some time in Scotland. We were mainly in Edinburgh. While we were there, we stopped by the library to find out the meaning and history of our last name, Calton. We figured there would be a lot of information since Calton Hill is an important landmark in Edinburgh. However, due to limited time, we were not able to find out much about the name Calton. I began searching the Internet and came across your site and some others that indicated that Glasgow had/has a region of its city named Calton as well. Therefore, I was hoping that you could give me some history behind the name Calton and/or possibly some books to read for more information. Thank you so much. We really appreciate it! Happy Holidays! Kelly & Bryan Calton
