Spinster Flats, Dennistoun

An exile (in Huddersfield) from Dennistoun, I came upon your   excellent website - the Glasgow Street Names section - while  trying  to find out about "The Spinsters' Flats" - a block of  flats built in  Sannox Gardens, facing the park around 1950 (I  vaguely remember the  building site in my extreme youth...)

That would be a nice enquiry to make - who organised the building of  the flats, tenanted by single women - all a wee bit more genteel than  us neighbours - in the post war years.
